Em. Gee. I just discovered Andrea Corson’s Handcrafted Jewelry and, again: oh em gee — to the nth power, in fact.

Andrea Corson is a jewelry designer based in New York City who utilizes gold, 18K vermeil, and sterling silver to create some beautifully innovative, completely unique pieces of jewelry. Add into that the fact that Carson attended the Cranbrook Academy of Art, located in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, and received from there an MFA degree in sculpture, and you will understand why her pieces have a definite look of sculpture.

The Sterling Silver Butterfly Ring is an absolutely gorgeous example of that trait. The butterfly features absolutely exquisite detail work, with wings that look so delicate, it seems like the butterfly could fly off of the ring at any second.
