Take, for example, this piece by Devon Leigh Sedlacek. First interested in filming and screenwriting, she first began designing her jewelry strictly as a hobby and mostly for herself. However, quite soon, the people she worked with in the industry started purchasing her pieces!

Her collections are known for their stunning mixture of different metals, from silver to gold to rhodium, with adornments of semi precious stones.

This chick, if she keeps coming out with things like this, she is definitely going places!  I think that this ring in particular is incredible looking and while I am not usually a huge gold fan, I definitely think that this ring is absolutely incredible looking all over the place.  The fashion part of this ring is beautiful and I love the red gem in.
