The holidays are an extremely stressful time for most people – finding the right accessory is probably the last thing on your mind.  Well, that is exactly what we are going to talk about in this blog – some fantastic holiday trends in the way of jewelry just to ensure that you pick the right jewelry for your holiday event.

First up on the list of trends for the holidays for jewelry is sparkly things.  Adding that hint of sparkle to your jewelry is something that can go a very, very long way.  For example, this little ball on a chain is something that would go perfect with all of your holiday outfits!

It also looks like a small ornament, which goes perfectly whenever you are at a holiday party!

As it so happens, however, Texas native and jewelry designer Lela Rose brings a truly unique aesthetic to the world of butterfly designs. Rose is a graduate of the University of Colorado. She also attended the much famed Parsons School of Design in New York City. She launched her Lela Rose collection in 1998 — it was not jewelry, but rather consisted of dresses, jackets, and separates.

However, this soon evolved into jewelry which often went with her clothing pieces. For example, the Butterfly Necklace was designed to be paired with a simple and elegant summer dress. It is polished brass with black and olive cabochon, as well as crystals.

This is certainly the generation of huge … huge rings.  Half of the time, celebrities are to blame as they have the most money and they can afford to spend all sorts of money on their giant rings.  For of this that can not afford things like this, well – we can at least look at them right?

Now, this is one that I do not know the designer on, but I thought this ring was the perfect example of just how big us Americans and really … all over the world like our rings.  We like them big, gold and beautiful isn’t that right?

Personally, I like smaller rings that are silver, but that is just my personal preference.  This ring is something to be noticed and certainly will get you noticed if you happen to wear it – that’s the point though right?

When it comes to bracelets, there are honestly, not a lot of bracelets out there that I would really wear or that I really like … at all.  Minus the cuff.  I am in love with the cuff bracelet and while sometimes, the cuff bracelet does not look good on me, for the most part, I am seriously in love with this beautiful and incredible piece of jewelry!

It looks fantastic most of the time and the way that these designers this spring are coming out with all sorts of different styles – I’m all over it!  Whether you are looking for gold, silver or even just gem-encrusted, there really is a style for everyone!

The cuff bracelet has been around forever too you know.  It is one of those things that I do not think will ever go ahead and I am totally glad for that!  The cuff is by far the best and while they are expensive somewhat, they are so worth it!

When I think of necklaces, there is something special and something different about a beaded necklace.  Now of course, they are all over the place, but when you find yourself a high-quality and fantastic looking beaded necklace, there is something different and unique about it.

Take this beautiful, lovely piece of jewelry ladies – it is all hand beaded and to be honest, it looks like something extremely high-class and totally out of a magazine right?  Well, that’s probably because it is but it was not all that expensive!

The thing about beading is the fact that it can look extremely expensive and not be at all.  Beads do not cost nearly as much as diamonds, gold, silver or really … any of that.  With beading, it still looks expensive but it is rather cheap and I love that!

When it comes to necklaces, one of my very favorite kinds in the entire world is going to be the floating diamond necklace.  Not only does it look incredible on any neck and against any skin tone, but there is something magical and definitely different about giving the illusion of a necklace just floating on your neck.  Now, if you have been living under a rock for years and have no idea exactly what a floating necklace or floating jewelry is, I’ll explain it!

Floating necklaces and floating jewelry in general are actually made and stung on fish line, you know how when you are fishing, the line that you use is extremely clear and totally durable?  Well, jewelry designers have taken this line to the next level and have started creating their jewelry out of it!

So the next time you are looking for a piece of jewelry that is not only different but also looks incredible, why not get yourself a floating diamond necklace?  I promise that you will love it and it will look incredible with anything that you are wearing!

So when I said that turquoise was in, I really meant it!  Just google turquoise and you will see exactly what I am talking about!  When I found this beautiful necklace though, I just wanted to show you guys that turquoise does not always have to be in the stone form and it certainly does not need to look unfinished and unrefined.  If you are the type of person that has very high taste and definitely a lot of charm and like things nice and neat, this is definitely the necklace for you.

Turquoise, while hot, it can still look fabulous and stylish as well.  This is just one example of that.  This glass turquoise piece is wrapped up in wrapped up in diamonds and if you hung it on a beautifully polished silver chain, it would look incredible with anything!

So I remember and I’m sure that you do to, the Olsen twins being on Full House.  Well folks, they have grown up and out of the role of Michelle and now they have their own fashion jewelry line!  This line will include gold snake rings, dagger necklaces and all sorts of other contemporary jewelry.

These pieces above are just two of the pieces that debuted last year in September, but the twins are constantly coming out with new and fresh ideas for their jewelry.  Now, because they are the Olsen twins, the prices are going to be a little bit higher, running at one hundred and twenty-five dollars all the way up to five hundred dollars.

So if you are looking for be a little stylish, a little sassy and absolutely beautiful, why not check out the Olsen twins collection?  I know I saw it and honestly, it is totally beautiful!

When it comes right down to it, gothic jewelry is a beautiful thing and honestly, I think the Goths have it when it comes to their accessories.  Everything from chokers, bracelets, necklaces and rings all the way to their belts and even toe rings.  Gothic jewelry, in my opinion definitely does not get enough light shed on it and I’m hear to say that gothic jewelry is amazing!

For instance, the combination of leather, fabric and jewels is phenomenal!  The piece that is placed on this girl in the photo above is absolutely stunning.  It combines fabric with silver and a black jewel.  You don’t get more basic and classic than that.

Now while Hot Topic has exploited the gothic jewelry market, there are still a few places and designers that offer up high-quality and high-class gothic jewelry to people that are actually looking for it.  A quick search online and you’ll find a whole lot!

Entrenched in the goal of defining luxury within the current music culture, DEOS enlisted the creative assistance of a team of expert jewelers led by designer Allison Lee Zeiss, known for her work in developing and merchandising Vera Wang’s fine jewelry line. The ensuing results were two collections entitled DEOS-DIAMOND and DEOS-CVRZ. A third collection called DEOS-CRYSTALS is in the process. Generally speaking all three collections are gorgeous earphones in titanium, aluminum, diamonds and crystals.

The diamond line includes three styles set with diamonds on titanium ranging from one carat to five carats of diamonds starting at twelve hundred dollars and reaching fifteen thousand US dollars. A choice of white pavé diamonds set in titanium or black diamonds set in black titanium make this collection the ultimate for luxury conscious music lovers. As titanium is very difficult to sculpt and design, the workmanship for these magnificent earphones is outstanding. And black titanium is rare so owning a pair of these fine earphones is that much more special.

Lastly, the CVRZ collection consists of earphones made from a full spectrum of colored aluminum. And the crystal line that will be produced with Swarovski crystals is expected to launch for the 2008-2009 season.
