The recent trends in jewelry are extremely flirty and fun. Oscar buzz this year was all about Changeling, starring worldwide trendsetter, Angelina Jolie. It is entirely possible that one current jewelry trend is due to the fabulous looks Angelina was sporting in the movie and, often, during the press junket for it.
It was the nineteen twenties. The hottest new trend was flapper glam. Now it’s 2009 — and the hottest new trend is, once again, flapper glam. Long, colorful necklaces — like the Amore Vintage Purple Pendant Necklace — evoke a sleek, flirty style. And let’s face it, vintage is always in style — it just so happens that, in this case, “vintage” is synonymous with the Roaring Twenties, which was all about bright colors, exaggerated accessories, and the kind of fun that was both bawdy and light hearted.
