When you are a true jewelry lover, you have to know how to sniff out a deal — and you have got to be willing to take advantage of that as well. I just learned of this great place that takes liquidated pieces, MyJewelryBox.com. Now, at first, I didn’t understand the premise, I’ll confess. I was thinking to myself, “Oh, they sell knockoff pieces,” but that is not the case at all. They just get pieces of jewelry from retail stores which have gone out of business, so the buyer — you and me — can get gorgeous jewelry for prices we can actually afford.
One of my favorites being offered is this stunning Diamond Dragonfly Ring in 10K white gold. It is 1/7 carat and entirely stylish, considering the fact that the insect world has recently become hugely popular in jewelry. How much is it? Less than two hundred dollars! You can get amethyst earrings for less than a hundred dollars, gold necklaces for less than two hundred — it’s amazing!
