Let me ask you: how cute is this? It is the work of jewelry designer Barry Kieselstein-Cord. More than designing just jewelry, he designs what are considered true works of art which are actively sought by collectors.
He works primarily in silver, but is also known to make gator jewelry, as well as eye wear, handbags and luggage, belts, and all types of other items.
This items is the 14K Gold and Sterling Silver Bee Charm. I am not even particularly fond of bee jewelry — or even insect jewelry in general — but even if you would not wear this particular piece, you cannot deny Barry Kieselstein-Cord’s talent or design aesthetic. Moreover, he has an exquisite eye for detail, the likes of which it is hard to fine. Right down to the etching on the charming bee’s wings, this is as beautifully rendered a bumble bee as you are likely to find.
